GRAMMY AWARD WINNING THE POET WHO SAT BY THE DOOR

AN ODE TO THE POWER OF SPOKEN WORD POETRY
A PASSIONATE MUSICAL OPUS OF OBSERVATIONS

GRAMMY® and Multi-Award Winning Poet, Spoken Word Artist, Actor, and Songwriter, J. Ivy, received the inaugural Best Spoken Word Poetry Album GRAMMY award for his 6th album, THE POET WHO SAT BY THE DOOR. The new collection is a follow up to last year's nominated project, CATCHING DREAMS: Live at Fort Knox Chicago.

J. Ivy’s latest creation is a master class in working with your skills and tapping into the talents of those who support and elevate you. The rich and powerful collection is an opus of observations through a Black lens with messages carrying recurring themes of endurance, love, passion, oppression, inspiration, faith and healing. This album is an ode to the power of his art form and was created with the goal of lifting up poetry. Ivy breaks standards of how far one can take poetry in music calling this “a blueprint of possibility”.  CLICK THE COVER OR THE LINK BELOW TO LISTEN.
