I would deeply like to thank EVERYONE for supporting TARREY TORAE'S SOUL LOUNGE event at The DuSable Museum Saturday night. It was TRULY an INCREDIBLE experience!! IN-CRE-DIBLE...from the atmosphere, the energy, to everyone helphing run the night, to our gracious sponsor Rick Edwards of the Edwards Communication Group, to the soothful sounds of Zzaje', the humor of Leon Rogers, to the artistic genius of Slang Tyrue Jones, to the DYNAMIC performances of some young stars on the rise Chey'nise Carter & Winston Jones, to the PACKED HOUSE, to a few gems that I was blessed enough to be able to drop, to the HYPNOTIC, SOULFUL, ILLUSTRIOUS, BEAUTIFUL, HEALING Gifts of TARREY TORAE you couldn't helped but be touched. Tarrey told stories and sang songs that spoke to your core. With an angelic presence and a sweetness that's been missing in life, she easily uplifted everyone's spirit. Outside the Chicago cold sat heavy on us, but inside Tarrey warmed our hearts and raised our vibrations. She entertained and spoke to us with a VOICE that only GOD could BLESS...It was an honor to be able to host and be a part of something so necessary. We need more TARREY TORAE's in the world, but for now I feel BLESSED to know we have at least one who isn't afraid to go against the grains of greed, lust, envy, and hate, blinding the negative with an unconquerable LOVE. With that kind of LOVE you can't help but feel good. Maybe that's why I had so much fun. It may have been the most fun I've ever had on stage. We laughed soooo much. Laughs that were right on time. And the music won't leave my mind...
